Linda Sue Davis

Linda Sue Davis, age 64, 871 Clarence Stout Lane, Mountain City, Tennessee, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 13, 2006 at her residence. She was born on September 24, 1941 in Mountain City, Tennessee to the late Arvil and Hattie (Lowe) Roberts. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers: A.Y. Roberts and Fred Roberts; three sons: Stewart Davis, William Davis and Keith Davis and one grandson, Cody Campbell. Sue was a graduate of Johnson County High School. She was a homemaker and loved flowers and gardening. Sue was a member of the Doe Valley Baptist Church. She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law: Tammy and Mike Treadway of Mountain City, Tennessee, Linda and Larry Campbell of Butler, Tennessee and Theresa and Johnny Vanover of Johnson City, Tennessee; one son, Dwayne Davis of the home; one sister, Bessie Walker of Kennett Square, Pennsylvania; two brothers and three sisters-in-law: Billy and Hazel Roberts of Mountain City, Tennessee; LC and Wilma Roberts of Elizabethton, Tennessee and Margaret Roberts of Lenoir, North Carolina; nine grandchildren: Lucas and Joey Treadway, Linnie Robinson, Toshua, Sarah and Dean Campbell, Nicole, Jon-Jon and Everette Vanover; nine great grandchildren: Daisy and MiLee Treadway, Hayley, Damon, Caleb, Cory and Kaliena Vanover, D.J. and Elijah Robinson; several nieces and nephews and many, many special neighbors and friends. Funeral Services for Linda Sue Davis will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 16, 2006 from the Doe Valley Baptist Church with Mr. Kenny Ray Vaught and Mr. Roy Dowell to officiate. Graveside Services and Interment will follow from the Arvil Roberts Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be: Joey Treadway, Lucas Treadway, Everette Vanover, Jon-Jon Vanover, Dean Campbell, Darrell Robinson, Nicole Vanover, John Davis and Don Roberts Honorary Pallbearers are: Great Grandchildren and Brothers. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 15, 2006 from the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel of the Hux-Lipford Funeral Home.
