Linda Jean Kindley

Asheboro – Linda Jean May Kindley, 59 died after a courageous battle with cancer on November 26, 2021 at home with her family. Linda was born in Boone, NC on August 1, 1962 to the late Earl May and Pearl Wallace May. In addition to her parents, a sister, Carolyn May and a brother, Danny May also preceded her in death. Linda was a member of Gospel Way Baptist church and was strong in her faith. She will be missed by the members of her church family. Linda had a strong Faith and love in God and a very strong love for her husband Wayne, they were always holding hands and always displayed the deep love they had for one another. She enjoyed off road trips to West Virginia and going to car shows with her husband. Her passion was taking care of the animals on their farm, going to Flea Markets and yard Sales with her Sisters, gardening, canning food, summertime cookouts on most weekends with family and friends. She also enjoyed vacations with her husband and sister Debbie. Linda frequently went back to the Mountains where she was raised and had a strong relationship with her siblings, nieces and nephews. She also enjoyed spending time with and mentoring her daughter from another mother, Mary Hyatt. Linda was dedicated to the growth of her Embroidery business with her longtime friend Donna. Linda is survived by her husband of 41 years, Wayne Kindley; brothers, Paul May and wife, Dora, Tommy May and wife, Joyce; sisters, Debbie Greever and husband, Lee, Reba Petit, Janice Townsend and husband, Dean, Sally Beal and husband Paul; sister-in-law, Peggy May; daughter-by-love, Mary Hyatt and several nieces and nephews. The family will greet friends 12:45 until 1:45 p.m. on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at Cumby Family Funeral Service at 206 Trindale Road in Archdale. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Danny McMahan officiating. The family wish to extend their thanks to Hospice for their wonderful care of Linda.
