Linda Marie Davis Scheirer

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Linda Marie Davis Scheirer, age 76, who went home to be with the Lord on August 13, 2025, at Emory University Hospital Midtown in Atlanta, Georgia. Linda faced her health challenges with courage and strength, following several extensive heart procedures, before passing peacefully.Linda was born in War, West Virginia on March 27th, 1949. Linda and her family later moved to Pennsylvania. She was the eldest daughter of the late Marvin Lester Davis Sr. and the late Frances June (Stout) Davis Fetrow.

She was also preceded in death by her brother, Marvin Lester Davis Jr. (Steve), and is survived by her beloved sister, Patricia Ann (Davis) Roh, 4 step sisters and 4 step brothers, the Fetrows, all with whom she loved dearly.  cherished daughter Ann Marie Scheirer, as well as former son-in-law Michael K. Phipps. Linda was a graduate of Red Land High School, Class of 1967. Linda went on to attend Harrisburg Hospital’s Nursing School and later completed business school.Linda was known for her creativity and talents as an avid crafter and cook. She loved tending to her flowers, reading Danielle Steel novels, and creating beautiful counted cross-stitch projects. More than anything, Linda cherished her role as a devoted mother and loving grandmother.

 Linda was also preceded in death by her beloved son, Matthew Lee Scheirer who is survived by his wife Shelly Scheirer of Shady Valley, TN.Linda leaves behind five grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and several dear nieces and nephews who will remember her fondly.Linda has been cremated, and a memorial service will be announced at a later date.
