Linda Sue Stanberry Farthing

Linda Sue Stanberry Farthing, age 59, of 500 Tester Road, Butler, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2005 at her residence following an extended illness. A native of Johnson County, she was born on April 14, 1946 to the late Ellis and Nell Rose Pearson Stanberry. Linda was a member of the Johnson County High School Class of 1964. She was a former employee of Levi Strauss. Linda was a member of the Mountain View Baptist Church, and also had served as Treasurer at the Church. She enjoyed blue grass music and playing horse shoes. Linda is survived by her husband Richard Farthing of the home; one son, Jeff Farthing of Butler, TN; two daughters: Lisa Farthing and special friend Stacy Miller of Butler, TN and Tammy Ward of Butler, TN; grandchildren: Jason Lambert, Ray Lambert, Kayla Lambert and Dustin Miller; step-mother, Laura Stanberry of Butler, TN; one brother, Cecil Stanberry and wife Louise of Butler, TN and three sisters: Barbara Norris and Husband Glenn of Butler, TN, Teresa Lawrence and husband Steve of Hickory, N.C. and Michelle Stanberry of Butler, TN. Funeral Services for Linda Sue Stanberry Farthing will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 5, 2005 from the Mountain View Baptist Church with Rev. Bill McGuire and Rev. Derick Wilson to officiate. Graveside Services and Interment will follow from the Combs-Guy Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be: Jason Lambert, Ray Lambert, Stacy Miller, Glenn Norris, Timothy Farthing and Steve Lawrence. Honorary Pallbearers: Taylor Farthing and Dr. Clarence Spammueth. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, October 4, 2005 from the Hux-Tetrick Funeral Home Chapel. At other times friends may call at the residence of daughter Lisa Farthing, 559 Stanberry Road, Butler, Tennessee 37640. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mountain View Baptist Church Building Fund, 105 Old Church Loop Road, Butler, Tn 37640.
