Obituary for Lisa P. Greever

Lisa Pierce Greever, age 60, of 803 Hiwassee Heights, Johnson City, TN passed away Saturday, May 21, 2016 at her residence. She was born March 11, 1956 to the late Ted B. Pierce and Sue Matherly Pierce. She was preceded in death by her father. She was a member of University Parkway Baptist Church. She was a 1974 graduate of Johnson County High School and a 1978 graduate of East Tennessee State University.  Mrs. Greever was a corporate marketing manager at TPI Corporation.  She loved life and enjoyed spending her time traveling, going on cruises and visiting the beach. She loved Jimmy Buffett.

She is survived by her husband of  40 years; Lynn Greever, her mother; Sue Matherly Pierce, one son; Adam Lynn Greever and wife Susan Peterson Greever, one sister; Gina Pierce Boven and husband Mick of Knoxville, TN, three brothers-in-law: James Carl Greever, John Steven Greever, and Bobby Greever, all of Mountain City, and granddaughter; Claire Elise Greever. Several nieces and nephews and many special friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. from the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel of Hux-Lipford Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Oaks officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. prior to the service. Graveside service and interment will be Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. from the Butler Memorial Cemetery.

Honorary Pallbearers will be:  Jimmy Greever, John Greever, Bobby Greever, Lee Greever, Chad Greever, Mick Boven, Don Rankins, Carl Cole, Dave Pierce, Cliff Pierce, Hugh Pierce, Fletcher Pierce, and  Donnie Seal.
