Lloyd D. Reece Sr.

Lloyd D. Reece Sr., age 71, of 286 Ackerson Creek Road, Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Friday Morning, May 19, 2006 following an extended illness. He was born in Trade, Tennessee on August 3, 1934 to the late Albert and Nellia M. (May) Reece. Lloyd was a retired employee of Broyhill Furniture Company. He enjoyed life, spending time with his family and friends. In addition to his parents, Lloyd was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara E. Reece, who passed away on February 5, 2006; three brothers: LeRoy Reece, Dana Reece and Boyd Reece and one sister, Annie Watson. Lloyd is survived by six sons: J.R. Reece and wife Denise, Archie Reece, James Reece, Donnie Reece and wife Amy, all of Mountain City, TN, Landon Reece of Lenoir, N.C. and Ronnie Reece and wife Angela of Trade, TN; one sister, Hallie Dugger and husband Howard of Bluff City, TN; two brothers: Garn Reece of Mountain City, TN and Blaine Fred Reece and wife Mary of Redding, CA; nine grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Lloyd D. Reece Sr. will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Saturday, May 20, 2006 from the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel of Hux-Lipford Funeral Home with Mr. Herman Trivette and Rev. Clyde Campbell to officiate. Music will be under the direction of Ms. Sharon Winters. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. on Saturday, prior to Services from the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel. Graveside Services and Interment will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, May 21, 2006 from the Acre Field Cemetery, Laurel Bloomery, Tennessee. Pallbearers will be: Tommy Younce, Keith Younce, Adam Ayers, James Brown, Greg Ray, Chris Pierce, Mac Swift, and Nathan Winters. Honorary Pallbearers are: Members of the Johnson County Rescue Squad, Members of First District Volunteer Fire Department, and Dr. Buddy Clayton. Family, Pallbearers and Friends are asked to assemble by 12:45 p.m. on Sunday, at the cemetery for Services. At other times, friends may call at the residence 286 Ackerson Creek Road, Mountain City, Tennessee 37683 or at the residence of son, J.R. Reece, 1016 Chestnut Drive, Mountain City, Tennessee 37683.
