Lois J. Crowder, age 64, of 1107 Ackerson Creek Road, Mountain City, Tennessee, went to be with the Lord Sunday, April 25, 2004 at the residence of her sister Ann Eggers of 1054 Eggers Branch Road, Trade, Tennessee. She was a native of Johnson County and was born January 7, 1940 to the late Roy Spencer and Nina Faye Cannon Jenkins. She was the wife of the late Roger A. Crowder who passed away in l995. She was former owner and operator of Crowder Hardware and attended Calvary Baptist Church. She loved gardening and raising vegetables and flowers. Lois is survived by one daughter and son-in-law; Vanessa and Donald Ward, two granddaughters; Layken and Brianne Ward all of Mountain City, Tennessee, one sister; Ann Eggers of Trade, Tennessee, two brothers; Jim Jenkins of Mountain City, Tennessee and Bob Jenkins of Laurel Bloomery, Tennessee. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services for Lois J. Crowder will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 27, 2004 from the Chapel of the Hux-Lipford Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Norris to officiate. Family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. prior to Services Tuesday at the Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside Services and Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 28, 2004 from the Sunset Memorial Park, Mountain City, Tennessee. Pallbearers will be: Larry Eggers, Gary Eggers, Darren Jenkins, Ray Jenkins, Mike Campbell and Tim Keene. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Johnson County Rescue Squad, 203 Vandilla Street, Mountain City, Tennessee 37683. At other times, friends may call at the home of the daughter and son-in-law; Vanessa and Donald Ward, 1151 Ackerson Creek Road, Mountain City, Tennessee at anytime.
