Loueva Mabe, age 70, of 406 Eastridge Road, Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away Thursday, April 15, 2004 at the Johnson City Medical Center following an extended illness. A native of Taylors Valley, Virginia, she was born April 12, 1934 to the late Leonard and Francis Blevins Ray. Loueva had retired from Bike Athletic Company of Mountain City. She enjoyed flowers and reading. Loueva was a member of State Line Baptist Church, Laurel Bloomery, Tennessee. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Clyde Mabe, who passed away in 2002. Loueva is survived by three daughters; Barbara Lunceford of the home, Sandra Coffey and Karen Osborne, both of Mountain City, Tennessee, four sons; Steve Lewis, Mike Lewis, Gary Lewis, all of Mountain City, Tennessee and Jim Lewis of White Pine, Tennessee, two sisters; Ella Ruth Greer and Lorraine Ray, both of Laurel Bloomery, Tennessee, one brother; Bruce Ray of Laurel Bloomery, Tennessee, twenty grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and special friend Dottie Hill of Wilmington, Delaware. Funeral Services for Loueva will be held at 8:00 p.m. Saturday, April 17th, 2004 from the State Line Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Morefield and Rev. Steve Spratlin to officiate. Music will be provided by Kerry Gentry. Family will receive friends 6-8:00 p.m. prior to services. Graveside Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 18th, 2004 from the State Line Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be Grandsons and Greg Ray. Honorary Pallbearers are Men of the State Line Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the State Line Baptist Church Building Fund, 3409 Sugar Creek Road, Laurel Bloomery, Tennessee 37680. At other times, friends may call at the residence, 406 Eastridge Road, Mountain City, Tennessee.
