Chappell, age 99, of 919 Medical Park Drive, Mountain City, TN passed away Saturday, August 4, 2012, at Mountain City Care Center, Mountain City, TN, following a lengthy illness. She was the daughter of the late James Brodus and Zula Taylor Wilkie. She was a native of Rutherfordton, NC, a member of the First Baptist Church, Mountain City. She was a homemaker, manager of the Hermit Motel, Register at Large for Johnson County, first lady to be on County Court and a member of the OES, Maple Chapter #79. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Paul Chappell, two brothers and one sister. Survivors: Several nieces and nephews, Funeral Services for Louise W. Chappell will be conducted at 8:00 P. M. Tuesday, August 7, 2012, from the First Baptist Church with Rev. Ricky Campbell officiating. Pallbearers will be men of First Baptist Church Interment will be in the Sunset Memorial Park at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, August 8, 2012. The Family will receive friends Tuesday August 7, 2012, from 7-8 P.M. at the First Baptist church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Johnson County Rescue Squad, 203 Vandilla Street, Mountain City, TN, Johnson County Funeral Home is serving the Chappell family.
