Lucian Jesse Lunsford

Lucian J. Lunsford, age 65 of 2148 Fall Branch Road, Mountain City, TN passed away after a brief illness on April 27, 2012 at his residence. He was born on October 29, 1946 in Jasper, VA to the late Samuel James Lunsford and Bunie Belle Lawson Lunsford. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Tommy Lunsford. His hobbies were reading, working on cars and he loved NASCAR. Survivors include: one stepdaughter, Mary Hatley, Carter County, TN. Two step grandsons, Gregory Johnson of the home and Gary Johnson, Mountain City, TN. One sister Margaret Lunsford, Mountain City, TN. One beloved son-in-law, Scott Hatley. One niece and two nephews also survive. Funeral services for Lucian J. Lunsford will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 30, 2012 from the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel of the Hux-Lipford Funeral Home with Rev. Douglas Stidham to officiate. The Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. prior to the funeral service at the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel. Graveside service and interment will follow the funeral service in the Wesley Chapel Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be family and friends.
