Lucy Mink Perone Milhan

Lucy Mink Perone Milhan, age 87, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2006 at the Mountain City Care Center. She was born on April 25, 1918 in Johnson County, Tennessee, the daughter of the late David and Margaret Vaught Mink. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters: Ethel Mink LedBetter and Vada Mink Lethco and four brothers: Ralph Mink, Kelly Mink, Russell Mink and John Mink. Lucy was a member of the Senior Citizens Club and a member of the Locust Gap Freewill Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Floyd S. Milhan; two daughters: Barbara Bertelin and husband Tony of Shreveport, Louisiana and Joann Owens; one sister, Ella Schipsi and husband Fred of Margate, New Jersey; two brothers: David Colonel Mink and wife Charlotte of Elizabethton, TN and Arley Mink and wife Edna of Mountain City, TN; her beloved grandson, David Bertelin and wife Debbie; grandchildren: James Owens Jr, Bonnie Owens and Mark Owens; several great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; special friends: Dove and Odell Guinn and many other special friends. Funeral Services for Lucy Mink Perone Milhan will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, January 15, 2006 from the Hux-Lipford Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ted Lewis, Rev. Rex Johnson and Rev. Shannon Courtner to officiate. Music will be under the direction of the Locust Gap Freewill Baptist Church Choir. Graveside Services and Interment will follow from the Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be: Jack Cress, Patrick Mink, Jeff Wilcox, Ed Walker, Mike Trivette and James Brewer. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Hugh Walker, Staff of Mountain City Care Center and Dr. Whitlock.
