Luther D. Rupard

Mr. Luther D Rupard, age 84, of 1241 Waters Branch Road, Laurel Bloomery, Tennessee, passed away Friday, April 15th 2004 at the James H. Quillen Veterans Administration Medical Center, Mountain Home, Tennessee, following a lengthy Illness. A native of Johnson County, Tennessee, he was born April 11th, 1920 to the late Stone and Charity Kilby Rupard. In addition to his parents, Luther was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters. Mr. Rupard was a U.S. Air Force Veteran having served during World War II. He was retired from the U.S. Forestry Service Survivors: Wife of 52 years; Gladys Trivette Rupard of the home 1 Son: Benny Rupard, Laurel Bloomery, Tennessee. 3 Daughters: Patsy Galliher, Laurel Bloomery, Tennessee. Tammy Grindstaff, Laurel Bloomery, Tennessee. Judy Howard, Shady Valley, Tennessee. 1 Brother: Arthur Rupard, Bristol, Tennessee. 7 Grandchildren, 4 Great Grandchildren Several Nieces and Nephews also survive. Military Graveside Services for Luther Rupard will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday April 17th 2004 from the Rupard Family Cemetery, Laurel Bloomery, Tennessee with Reverend Ray Slemp to officiate. Services will be accorded by the Johnson County Honor Guard. Pall Bearers will be Chris Galliher, Bob Grindstaff, Earl Trivette, Josh Key, Bobby Dean Rupard, and Jeff Rupard.
