Mae Arnold Cooper

Mae Arnold Cooper age 85, of Mountain City, passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at her residence.  She was born in Ashe County, North Carolina on January 10, 1938 to the late Granville Patrick and Juanita Osborne Patrick.  In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husbands, Charlie Arnold and Millard Cooper; son, Charles Arnold; Brother, Herman Patrick; sister, Mary and granddaughter, Debbie.

Mae was a charter member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening and reading her Bible.

Those left to cherish her memory include daughters, Coleen Cooper, Priscilla "Pat" Roark and Jo Arnold; two sons, Tracy Arnold and Dallas Arnold; her five sisters, Ruth, Margaret, Louise, Shirley and Marie; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral service for Mae will be conducted on Sunday, October 29, 2023 in the Charles B Hux Chapel at Hux & Lipford Funeral Home at 2 pm with Russ Poteet officiating.  The family will receive friends from 1 - 2 pm prior to the funeral service.  Burial will be in the Arnold Cemetery.

Pallbearers include; Ernest, DJ, Robbie, Mark, Matt, and Eric.
