Obituary for: Mae McElyea Mae McElyea, age 82, of 919 Medical Park Drive, Mountain City, passed away Monday, May 5, 2003 at the Watauga Medical Center after a brief illness. Ms. McElyea was a native of Johnson County and was born on March 8, 1921 to the late Mac and Callie Dunn McElyea. She was of the Baptist faith. Ms. McElyea was preceded in death by one brother, Blaine McElyea, in 1991. Survivors: (1) Sister: Virginia Dunn, Mountain City, TN Several Nieces and Nephews Hux-Lipford Funeral Home is in charge of the Arrangements. Funeral services for Mae McElyea will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. Friday, May 9, 2003 at the Hux-Lipford Funeral Home with Mr. Jim Hutchinson, Rev. Doug Stidham, and Rev. Frank Woods to officiate.
