Obituary for: Maggie Pearl Nye, age 88, of 830 N. Church Street, Mountain City, Tennessee, went to be with the Lord Sunday, November 09, 2003 at her residence from an extended illness. A native of Johnson County, Maggie was born April 08, 1915 to the late Frank and Rosa Wallace Rash. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Charley L. Nye and three brothers; Dean, Dale and Glenn Rash. Maggie was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church. She is survived by: one son; Billy Ray Nye, two grandsons; Danny R. and Gary L. Nye, all of Mountain City, Tennessee, two sisters; Mary May and Betty Bumgardner both of Trade, Tennessee, one brother; Fred Rash of Elton, Maryland, five great-grandchildren; Gary E., Travis, Dustin, Nicole and Donald and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 12, 2003 from the Hux-Lipford Funeral Home with Rev. Frank Woods and Rev. Clyde Campbell to officiate. Family will receive friends 12-1:00 p.m. prior to services. Graveside Services will follow in the Sunset Memorial Park. Active Pallbearers will be: Gary L Nye, Danny R. Nye, Gary E. Nye, Bill Dowell, Roy Dowell, Billy R. Rash, Jeff Dowell and Kim Nye. Honorary Pallbearers are: Howard Owens, John R. Phillips, Dr. Floyd Barker, Butler Dowell and Edgar Dowell.
