Mammie Anderson

Mammie Anderson of NHC Healthcare, 3209 Bristol Highway, Johnson City, TN passed away Tuesday, July 29, 2003 at the NHC Healthcare Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, Coy James Anderson and Connie Catherine Grindstaff. Mammie retired from Social Security after having worked at the Morristown, Knoxville and Johnson City Offices. She had lived in Mountain City, TN for several years where she did volunteer work at the Mountain City Visitor's Center. She loved Blue Grass music and the citizens of Mountain City. Mammie did genealogy work for the Anderson and Grindstaff families and also helped organize and start the Grindstaff Family Reunions before her declining health prevented her from doing so. She was also a former member of the Bluff City Baptist Church.
