Marcella Ann Dunn

Marcella Ann Dunn, age 62, of Mountain City, TN passed away peacefully at her home.  She was born Mach 9, 1963 to the late Billy Jack Proffitt and Janice Poffitt Harper, who resides in Elizabethton, TN.  In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her son, Derrick Dunn and brother, Jackie Proffitt.

Marcella was of the Baptist Faith and a graduate of Johnson county High School class of 1982.  She was married to the love of her life, Bobby for forty five years  She enjoyed going to yard sales and working in her flowers.  She loved her family and spending time with them especially her grandchildren as they were the lights of her life.  Marcella had a big personality that everyone loved.  She will be dearly missed by all that knew her.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband, Bobby; daughter, Tralaina Mains (Kenneth); mother, Janice Proffitt Harper;  sister, Angie Taylor (Tim); grandchildren, Brianna Widener (Josh) and Tristan Mains; nephew, Josh Taylor, nieces, Melissa Dunn, Crystal Hicks and Bessie Dunn; several aunts and uncles, and a host of friends also survive.

It was Marcella's wish to be cremated.

A memorial service will be held 7:00 p.m. Friday, April 11, 2025 at Hux & Lipford funeral Home with Jim Carr officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. prior to the service.
