For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16
Margaret Alice Ferguson, 77, crossed over peacefully into the arms of Jesus on Monday February 3, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born December 14,1947 to Gwen and Myrtle Dunn Eller.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Ferguson, and her sister Shirley Lane both of whom she missed terribly and longed to see.
Margaret was known for her loving nature and warm personality. She marched to the beat of her own drum and loved her family endlessly. Her little dog Woodie “Woodrow” was her pride and joy. She enjoyed sitting in the sunshine, listening to the soft melodies of nature while sipping her cup of coffee. Slow, easy mornings surrounded by her plants and flowers made her joyful. She was at her happiest sitting by the beach in the summertime with her children and grandchildren. Margaret had never met a stranger and never failed to be the most likeable person in the room. Her legacy will forever live on through the beautiful life she created.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters: Angie and husband Desi Ward, Robin and Husband Bill Hill, Son Rob Main. Stepson: Rodney Ferguson, Grandchildren: Sheena and husband Jeremy Johnson, Mandy and husband Jake Vaught, Addison ward. Great-grandchildren: Meleah Johnson, Andrew Johnson. Niece: Tammy and husband Chris Pierce. Great-niece and nephews: Christian Pierce, Caleb Pierce, and Connor Pierce.
Services will be held Sunday February 9, 2025, at the Charles B. Hux Chapel with visitation to begin at 2:00 p.m. followed by the Funeral service at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Mack Arnold officiating. Graveside will be at the Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery following the Funeral service.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Johnson, Andrew Johnson, Chris Pierce, Caleb Pierce, Connor Pierce, and Jake Vaught.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Desi Ward and Bill Hill, Sons-in law. Brady Fritts, Austin Medley, and Members of Laurel springs Fellowship will also serve as honorary pallbearers.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Margaret’s special friends who helped in her time of need, June Eller, and Pastor Mack and Mary Arnold. Also special thanks to Watauga Medical Center ICU staff, Johnson County Rescue/Ems and Amedisys Hospice Care for their wonderful care as well as many others too numerous to mention.
