Margaret Osborne Grimes

Margaret Eunice Osborne Grimes, age 88, of Jackson, Tennessee and formerly of Mountain City, TN passed away Thursday, September 24, 2015. Mrs. Grimes had lived in Mountain City for the past sixteen years. She was born in Ashe County, North Carolina on June 16, 1927 to the late Milton Osborne and Belle Nelson Osborne. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Grimes. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Lillian Yates, Cleo Mullins and Rosalee Miller and five brothers, James S. Osborne, Ray A. Osborne, Chester L. Osborne, Grover Osborne and Hal Osborne. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and worked at Pocopson Home before retiring. Ms. Grimes is survived by: one daughter, Linda Curry, Jackson, TN, two sisters, Josephine Lewis, Northeast, MD, Lena Wilson and husband Boyd of Mountain City, TN, one brother, Milton Osborne, Jr. and wife Violet, Elkton, MD and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 29, 2015 from the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel with graveside service to follow at the Sunset Memorial Park, Mountain City, TN. Visitation for family and friends will be 10:30 AM prior to the funeral service. Reverend Roy Dowell and Reverend Eddie Porter will be officiating for Ms. Grimes service.
