Margaret Lee Potter

Margaret Lee Potter, age 68, of Mountain City, Tennessee passed away Saturday, December 27, 2025 at her residence. 

Margaret was the daughter of the late Eugene and Amanda Potter.  She attended Cloudland High School.  She was a member of Fork Mountain FWB but attended Victory Chapel in Mountain City, Tennessee.  She enjoyed driving around, watching wrestling, Sci Fi movies and soap operas and of course her red Dr. Enuf. 

Survivors include her daughter, Amanda (Mandy) Walters and Steven Benfield; granddaughter, Emmily Nicole Hopson (Charles); sister, Ruth Edwards (Sam) and half brother, Kelly Johnson (Terri) of Delaware; special niece, Kim Heaton (David) and nephews Jr (Kim) and Randy Banner and several other nieces and nephews; special friends, Jack, Theresa, and Alicia Whitehead of Fork Mountain, and Gail Hamilton of Mountain City, Tennessee.

In additon to her parents Margaret is preceded in death by her brother's, Roy, Ralph, Charles and JL (Bun) Potter.

Margaret was very excited for her first great grandson coming in June. 

 A memorial service for Margaret will be conducted at 6:00 PM on Monday, January 12, 2026 at Fork Mountain Freewill Baptist Church in Roan Mountain, Tennessee with Charlie Trivette to officiate.
