Margaret Roberts

Margaret Lee Roberts,91,was called home to be with the Lord Monday December 23,2024. She was born on November 10,1933 to the late Clayton Moretz and Martha Walsh Moretz. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her son James Edward Roberts, her brother
Ari Moretz and wife Hazel Moretz, her three sisters Alma Eggers and husband Walter Eggers, Lizzie Miller and Burl Miller, and Mary Ruth Harless and husband Fred Harless.

Margaret was born and raised in Mountain City, TN. and lived in Lenoir, NC. for a large part of her life. She spent her time babysitting her grandchildren as well as all other family members children. She loved spending time with her family, reading the Bible, watching wrestling, listening to gospel music, and doing her puzzle books. She was a strong woman of faith and loved the Lord. Her greatest accomplishment was making sure her children and grandchildren knew the Lord. She touched a lot of lives and was a bright shining light to all who knew her.

Margaret is survived by her daughter Lisa Roberts Potter of Mountain City and son David Roberts and wife Rita Barnes Roberts of Lenoir. Four granddaughters Crystal Potter Long and husband Josh Long of Mountain City, Rhonda Potter and Dylan Stout of Mountain City, Amy Roberts Self and husband Riley Self of Lenoir, and Sara Potter Arnold and husband Eric Arnold of Mountain City. One grandson Matthew Roberts and wife Miranda Roberts of Lenoir. Several great grandchildren Caleb Potter, Andrew Long, Jacob Long, and Alivia Long of Mountain City, Nevaeh Davis, Paris Davis, Jayla Stout, Carter Stout, Luke Dugger, and Myla Davis of Mountain City, Emily Self, Madyson Self, and Alyson Self of Lenoir, Alyvia Arnold, Elyana Arnold, and Layla Arnold of Mountain City, Hazel Roberts and Harper Roberts of Lenoir and several special nieces and
nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at Nelson Chapel Baptist Church on Saturday January 4, 2025 at 3pm.
