Marjorie Ann Shatley

Marjorie Ann Shatley, age 78, of Mountain City, Tennessee passed away on Friday, August 15, 2014 at the Mountain City Care Center after an extended illness. She was born February 25, 1936 to the late Luther and Lula Short Blankenblecker. She was preceded in death by her husband Ray Shatley, daughter Judy Cooper and step-son Jody Shatley. Her hobbies were flowers, needle point and crocheting. Mrs. Shatley is survived by one daughter Angie Garland Berardi, Elizabethton, Tennessee; one sister Mary Gladys Jackson, Versailers, Kentucky; six Grandchildren, several great grandchildren and several great great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; a very special grand daughter-in-law Norma Laws; special friends Myrtle Trivette, Rosa Ward, Debbie Hampton and Daniel and Jessica Jones. Graveside service for Marjorie Shatley will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 16, 2014 in the Phillippi Cemetery with Minister Steven Spencer and Daniel Jones officiating. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. prior to the graveside service. It was her wishes not to have a funeral service. Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Berardi, Daniel Jones, Dr. John Whitlock, Jerry Owens and Staff of Mountain City Care Center.
