Mark Douglas Carlson

Mark Douglas Carlson, age 72, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away October, 17, 2024 in the Sycamore Shoals Hospital.  He was born May 31, 1952 to the late Charles Carlson and Edna Bernice Smith McFadden.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Steve Carlson and brother in law, Randy Meadows.

Mark was a member of Wesley Chapel Church.  He enjoyed going to flea markets, classic rock music, working on cars and trucks and spending time with his family.

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Kimmy Carlson of Mountain City, Tennessee; step daughter, Kristy Swift of Virginia; son, Cody Carlson of Mountain City, Tennessee; sisters, Jerrie Howard of Mountain City, Tennessee; Daphne Meadows of Laurel Bloomery, Tennessee, Sandy Pack (Jay) of Bristol Virginia and brother, Doyle Carlson of Mountain City, Tennessee; two nieces and two nephews and special friends, Marty Boyd and Gary Blevins also survive.

Graveside service for Mark will be held at 2:00 pm  on Monday, October 21, 2024  at Wesley Chapel Church Cemetery with Bill Morefield officiating.

Honorary pallbearers are Marty Boyd, Gary Blevins, Jay Pack, Cory Meadows and Doyle Carlson.
