Martha Pardue

Martha Blanche Pardue, age 83, of 146 Pardue Lane, Mountain City, Tennessee passed away on Saturday, November 6, 2004 at her Residence, following an extended illness. She was born April 27th, 1921, in Boone, North Carolina and had made her home in Johnson County most all of her life She was a daughter of the late Larkin Pennell and Emma Lawrence Pennell and was preceded in death by her husband Orville Pardue who passed away in 1999 and a grandson, Kevin Scott Pardue and a granddaughter, Michelle Lee Harper. Her Hobbies included her flowers and working puzzles. She was a member of the Roan Creek Baptist Church. Survivors: 2 Sons: Ronnie Pardue and wife Jayne, Mountain City, Tennessee Terry Pardue and wife Sabrina, Springfield, Tennessee 2 Daughters: Janet Harper and husband James, Mountain City, Tennessee Linda Crowder and husband Jim, Mountain City, Tennessee Half Sister: Mary Alice Issacs, Silverstone, North Carolina 2 Brothers: Clay Pennell, Zionville, North Carolina Dave Pennell, Baden, Pennsylvania 2 Half Brothers: Johnny Pennell, Silverstone, North Carolina Gardener Pennell, West Jefferson, North Carolina 6 Grandchildren:Evelyn Crowder Allen; Jeff, Darren, Zack, Brian, and Steven Pardue 4 Great Grandchildren: Todd Cross, Sam Allen, Justin, and Kevin Pardue Special Friend: Martha's Puppy, Macy Several Nieces and Nephews also survive. Funeral services for Martha Pardue will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 9, 2004, from the Hux-Lipford Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Derl McCloud and Rev. Don Everhardt to officiate. Music will be under the direction of Derl McCloud and Edna Miller. Graveside Services and Interment will follow in the Rainbow Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Grandsons: Jeff Pardue, Darren Pardue, Zack Pardue, Steven Pardue, Brian Pardue, and Todd Cross. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Staff of Johnson City Medical Center Hospice, Dr. Buddy Clayton, Dr. Mike Kaplan, Dr. Kyle Colvet, Bob Heck, J.L. Lewis, and Wayne Lewis. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 8, 2004 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. At other times, friends may call at the residence.
