Obituary for: Marvin R. Bunting Marvin R. Bunting, age 58, of 149 J. Bunton Rd., Mountain City, TN passed away on Thursday, December 9, 2010. Marvin was a retired truck driver. He graduated Class of 1970 from JCHS and was a member of Bakers Gap Baptist Church. He was proceeded in death by his father, Barton Bunting and brother, Jeff Bunting. Survivors include his mother, Sue Bunting, of Mountain City; sister and brother in-law Margie and Bryant Collins of Johnson City, TN, special niece, Courtney Collins of Johnson City, TN; Significant-other Phyliss McNeil, special friend, Michael Reece, his beloved dog "Jake", and lots of very close friends. Services for Marvin R. Bunting will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 16, 2010 and will be conducted from the Charles B. Hux Memory Chapel of Hux-Lipford Funeral Home with Rev. Donnie Cox and Rev. Steve Cornett officiating. Special music will be by Donnie and Leona Cox and Janet Hodges. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service. Interment will be held at Bakers Gap Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Larry Eggers, Matt Eggers, Eric Trivette, Brad Mink, Travis Mink, Stewart Bunting, Gary White, and Phil Bunting. Honorary pallbearers are Tim McCoury, Tom Neatherly, Jim Lewis, and Harvey Fowler. At other times friends may call at the funeral home to sign the book at any time. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the American Heart Association.
