Marvin Proffitt

Marvin Proffitt age 88 of Butler, TN passed away on Wednesday, November 22, 2023. He was born April 16, 1935 to the late Harrison Proffitt and Crathie Greer Proffitt. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter Mary Proffitt; son, Eddie Proffitt; several brothers and sisters and grandson, Shane Adams. Marvin enjoyed going to flea markets and had a passion for music and playing in bands. Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Debbie Adams of Butler, TN; one sister; three brothers; special friends, the Garlands and the Woodards and his companion, Georgia Morefield. Funeral service for Marvin will be held Wednesday, November 29, 2023 in the Buford Lipford Chapel at Hux & Lipford Funeral Home with Eulogies beginning at 2 pm. The family will receive friends from 1 - 2 pm prior to the service.
