Mary Nell Arnold Guinn, age 70, of 282 Mack Branch Road, Mountain City, Tennessee passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2004 at the Johnson City Medical Center following a lengthy illness. A native of Johnson County, she was born November 11, 1933 to the late Kenny and Elsie Adams Arnold. Mary worked at the Mountain City Glove Plant for many years. She was of the Baptist Faith. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ivan Guinn, one son; Ernest Guinn, two sisters; Martha Johnson and Opal Worley and four brothers; Shelburn Arnold, H.D. Arnold, Rosman Arnold and Armor Arnold. She is survived by one daughter; Debbie Guinn, two sons; James Guinn and Hearley Guinn, three grandsons; Kevin Guinn, Brandon Guinn and Randall Darnell, all of Mountain City, Tennessee, two sisters; Rachel South of Butler, Tennessee and Edna Cress of Mountain City, Tennessee, two brothers; James Arnold of Butler, Tennessee and Dexter Arnold of Kenneth Square, Pennsylvania, special friend; Dora Adams and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Mary Nell Arnold Guinn will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, February 26, 2004 from the Chapel of the Hux-Lipford Funeral Home with Rev. Roy Wilson and Rev. Roy Dowell to officiate. Family will receive friends 6-7:00 p.m. prior to services. Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 27, 2004 from the Sunset Memorial Park. Active Pallbearers will be: Blaine Branch, Steve Arnold, Worley Adams, Charlie Adams, Blaine Stout and Heath Aschenback. Honorary Pallbearers are: J.L. White, Craft Presnell, David Branch and Jerry Roark. Friends may also call at the residence anytime.
