Mary Lou Hayworth

July 19, 1936 — May 14, 2012

Ms. Mary Lou Hayworth, age 75, of 141 Phipps Road, Rogersville, TN, passed away on Monday, May 14, 2012, in the Holston Valley Medical Center, following an extended illness. She was born to Danis Jones and the late William Lonnie Jones. She attended Nelsons Chapel where she was a Sunday School Teacher. She enjoyed puzzle books, reading and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of the Mountain City V.F.W. Women's Auxiliary. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Hayworth. Survivors include: one son, Steve Hayworth and wife, Tonya, of Rogersville, TN; three sisters: Georgia Mayhorn, Newark, DE, Ann Prewitt and Joyce Frampton, both of Oxford, PA; three grandchildren: Logan Hayworth, Joshua Hayworth and Parker Hayworth; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services for Ms. Hayworth will be conducted at 6:30 pm on Thursday, May 17, 2012, from Nelsons Chapel with Mr. Carroll Hayworth and Mr. Tom Severt officiating. Music will be under the direction of the Nelsons' Chapel Choir. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm prior to the funeral service. Graveside service and interment will follow in the Dunn Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Halvie Griffith, Randy Ledford, Offie Hayworth, Jr., James Hayworth, Bryan Hayworth, Kevin Haywoth, and Jeff Hayworth.
