Mary Evelyn Parsons

Mary Evelyn Parsons, age 79, of 875 Huggins Road, Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2005 at the Johnson City Medical Center. A native of Mountain City, Tennessee, Mary was born November 2, 1925 to the late L.L. and Dora Farmer Gentry Forrester. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Burgin, who passed away in 2004, and one son, Harold E. Parsons. Mary had retired from the Johnson County Hospital and was a member of Liberty Christian Church where she was also active in the Church Choir. Mary is survived by two sons: James Parsons and Robert Wayne Parsons, both of Mountain City, Tennessee; two half sisters: Bett Ward of Bristol, Tennessee and "Toot"; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Graveside Services and Interment will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 24, 2005 from the Forrester Cemetery with Mr. Jim Hutchinson to officiate. Family and Friends are asked to assemble by 10:45 a.m. Tuesday at the Cemetery for Services. At other times, friends may call at the residence.
