Mary A Varnell

Obituary for: Mary A. Varnell Mary Varnell was peacefully delivered to the Lord on June 23rd, 2013. Daughter of Charles Perry Gaither and Lillie Warren Gaither, she was born in Norfolk, Va., but her heart was always in Tennessee. She graduated the University Of Miami with a nursing degree. She was always a scholar,music lover and a true nuturalist. She especially loved her home and friends in Mountain City. She was survived by her daughter, Laura Lipton and her son John Varnell, her sister Nany Lee Boland, and nieces, Terry Gaither, Charlotte Tarr and Nancy Ann Willoughby and grandchildren, John Robert Varnell, Lance Lipton and Joshua Lipton. A special thanks to the staff at Mountain City Rehab Center, as they were so good to her. Also, we want to extend a heartfelt thanks to Winola Perkins, who was her campanion, sitter and helper for the last years of her life Arrangements for Mrs. Varnell were in the care of the Hux-Lipford Funeral Home of Mountain City, Tennessee
