Mary Wagner, 69, beloved sister and special aunt, of WinstonSalem, a native and former resident of Mountain City, went home, at home, with family and friends by her side, after a strong fight with cancer. Survivors include 1 sister, Winnie Wilson and husband Calvin of Boone; 3 nephews, David Poe (Shelley), Jim Wilson (Carmen), and Mike Wilson (girlfriend Krissy); 1 nephew in law, Edward Pope; 2 nieces, Charla Strawser and Patricia Harless (Robby); 4 great nephews, Evan Strawser, Jordon Harless, Carter Wilson, and Mason Pope; and 2 great nieces, Sierra Lowe (Andy) and Kayla Harless. Preceding her in death were her father and mother, A.E. and Irene Michael Wagner, 2 sisters, Betty Wilson and Ann Poe and 1 niece, Linda Wilson Pope. A funeral service for Mary will be held Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 11 am at HayworthMiller Silas Creek Chapel, WinstonSalem, with Rev. Dairl Scott officiating. Graveside services and burial will follow the service at 3:00 p.m. from Sunset Memorial Park, Mountain City, Tennessee, with Rev. Gordon Noble officiating.
