Maryann Brown

Maryann Brown, age 68, of 215 Modock Road, Trade, TN. Went to be with the Lord Saturday, June 19, 2004 at the Sycamore Shoals Hospital following a brief illness. She was a native of Ashe County, North Carolina and was born June 15, 1936 to the late Denver L. and Leller Roark Lewis. She was preceded in death by two brothers: Donnelly Lewis and Thurman Lewis and a grandson Timothy Moretz. She was a Homemaker and attended the Zionville Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir. Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Gene Brown, of the home; a daughter, Patricia Moretz of Mountain City; a son, Garry Brown of the home; two sisters: Josephine Wallace of Mountain City and Margie Greer of Mountain City; a brother, Vonelly Lewis of Mountain City; Three grandchildren: Renee Gentry of Shady Valley, TN, Christie Moretz of Mountain City and Abby Moretz of Mountain City and one great granddaughter, Jada Gentry. Several nieces and nephews and a host of friends also survive. Funeral services for Maryann Brown, will be held at 7:00 P. M. Monday from the chapel of the Henson Funeral Home with Pastor Carl Johnson to officiate. Burial will be in the Trade United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 P. M. Monday at the funeral home prior to the services. At other times friends may call at the residence 215 Modock Road in Trade.
