Matthew Reece

Matthew Lee Reece, of Mountain City passed away on July 18, 2015. He was born January 5, 1983 to the late Boyd Reece and Goldie Heaton Reece. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by a special uncle Frog Reece and a brother David Reece. Matthew attended First Baptist Church. He enjoyed working on cars and spending time with his friends. He always wanted to help people. Survivors include: his mother, Goldie Heaton Reece; three brothers: Rob Reece, Junior Reece, and Tim Reece all of Mountain City; uncles Jim Heaton and Gene Heaton; special niece Lillie Mae Reece; and special friends Shane Wilson and Brad Hyder of Mountain City and Scotty Campbell of Nashville. Funeral services for Matthew will be conducted on Thursday, July 23, at 2:00 p.m. from the Charlie B. Hux Memorial Chapel with Mr. Tim Nelson and Rev. David Hankel officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Graveside service and interment will be at the Rainbow Cemetery following service. Pallbearers will be Brad Hyder, Travis Heaton, Rob Reece, Tim Reece, Bill Heck, Matthew Isaacs, and Tim Nelson. Honorary pallbearers will be Shane Wilson, Jim Heaton, and Gene Heaton.
