Maude Eggers Phillippi

Maude E. Phillippi, age 90 of 919 Medical Park Drive, Mountain City, TN formerly of 2676 Highway 421 N. Mountain City passed away Monday, October 4th, 2010, in the Mountain City Care and Rehabilitation Center, following a lengthy illness. She was a native of Carter County, a daughter of the late John and Sarah Lyons Eggers. She was a member of Liberty Christian Church, but attended First Christian Church of Mountain City. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband Carl Phillippi, a daughter Barbara Jean Brown, a son Johnnie Phillippi, sisters, Ollie Lyons, Julia Eggers and Belle Lyons, brothers, Roy Eggers, Abb Eggers, Herman Eggers, Aubrey Eggers, Graydon Eggers, Homer Eggers, Dallas Eggers and Elmer Eggers. Survivors: Daughter: Jane Saddler and husband Steve of Johnson City, TN Two Grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, three great-great grand children, a special niece Elizabeth Stout, special roommate Clara Roberts, several other nieces and nephews and a special grand kitty Chessie. Funeral service for Maude Eggers Phillippi will be conducted at 2:00p.m. Thursday, October 7th, 2010 from Our Hero's Chapel of the Johnson County Funeral Home with the Pastors Jim Hutchinson and Ken Caswell officiating. Music will be under the direction of Fred Ramsey. Pallbearers will be Offie Hayworth, Kevin Hayworth, Jimmy Miller, and Chuck Jenkins. Honorary pallbearers will be Blaine Stout, Dr. John Whitlock, the staff of Two Hundred Hall Mountain City Care and Rehabilitation Center of Mountain City, TN. Interment will follow in the Phillippi Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Phillippi Cemetery.
