Maxine Icenhour

Maxine W. Icenhour, age 75, of 2053 Berry Branch Road, Mountain City, TN passed away Friday; November 25, 2011 in Watauga Medical Center in Boone, North Carolina. She was the daughter of the late William Taft Wilcox and Elizabeth Warren Wilcox. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter Linda Cornett; brothers Ed Wilcox and John Wilcox; and sister Mary Lee Icenhour. Survivors include her husband, Herbert "Squeak" Icenhour of the home and a granddaughter Rachael Hatley and husband Carl of Mountain City, TN; six sisters: Ola Mae Scott and Ilene Cuddy, both of Mountain City, TN, Bernice "Peanut" Mullins of Elizabethton, TN, Della Womble, Naomi Butner and Carolyn Higginbotham, all of Chapel Hill, NC; two brothers: Robert Wilcox of Mountain City, TN and J. B. Wilcox of Bristol, TN; two great grandchildren: Malaki Hatley and Jillian Hatley, both of Mountain City, TN. Funeral services for Maxine W. Icenhour will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Monday, November 28, 2011 from Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Steven Spencer, Rev. Gwyn Anderson and Rev. Rick Thomason officiating. Music will be by Lindsey DeBord and the church choir. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service. Graveside service and interment will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 29, 2011 in Johnson Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Billy Ray Icenhour, Carl Hatley, Malaki Hatley, Chris Greene, Chaney Icenhour, Tom Icenhour and Bill Icenhour. Honorary pallbearers will be Joel Icenhour, Mib Icenhour, James Icenhour, Earl Trivette, Jonalthan Thompson and Tony Nelson. At other times friends may call at the residence, 2053 Berry Branch Road, Mountain City, TN at any time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Johnson County Rescue Squad, 203 Vandilla Street, Mountain City, TN 37683.
