Melissa Violet Mooney

We are saddened to announce the passing of Melissa Violet Mooney, age 60, at Johnson County Community Hospital on Tuesday, November 3, 2020. She was born June 27, 1960 to the late Theodore C. Elswick and Jewel E. Estep Elswick . In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother Todd Elswick. Melissa enjoyed reading and spending time with her grandkids and family. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband Fred Mooney of the home; daughters: Anna (Jason) Marshall; Katlyn (David) McMullin and Jessica (Steve) Bright; sons Jai Mooney and Timmy Mooney; sister-in-law Loretta Elswick; and grandchildren: Isabell, Jasmine, Kaylee, Selene, Mason and Lilly. Several uncles and aunts and special friend Diane May also survive. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
