Michael Calvin Shores

Michael Calvin Shores, age 56, of 14195 Cedar Creek Road, Apt. 6, Meadowview, VA passed away September 9, 2014 in Bristol Regional Medical Center, Bristol, TN. He was born May 7, 1958 to the late Becky Shores Preston and Calvin C. Shores. He loved spending time with his family, listening to old rock and roll music, reading the Bible, just riding the roads and Greenbay Packers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Richard Shores, several cousins, aunts and uncles. He was a loving father and a great friend to many others. Survivors include: daughters: Parrish Shores and companion David Durham; Rebekah Hampton and husband Drew; Victoria Shores; and their loving mother Carla Hess; grandchildren: Lyla Hampton and unborn grandson Michael Zayden Durham; sister: Rebecca Kovarik and husband Bob of TX; brother: Benji Shores and wife Kim of VA; several nieces and nephews. Special friends include: very special brotherman James Sexton; Donnie and D. J. Woodard, Robert Neely; very special daughter like Amanda Raines and soul sister Trish Barr. A memorial service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, September 21, 2014 at Backbone Rock.. Eulogies will be given by friends and family who wish to do so.
