Michael Blaine Lipford Sr.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Blaine Lipford, Sr., age 64, of Trade, TN. Michael passed away surrounded by his wife and children after a courageous, lengthy battle with cancer. 

He was preceded in death by his mother, Roma Jean Lipford, and his father, Lloyd Blaine Lipford.

He is survived by his devoted wife of over 46 years, Deana, and his children Peggy Payne (Dwayne), Blaine Lipford (Samantha), Josh Lipford, and Alisha Gentry (Wayne).

He was so proud of his grandchildren, Alexis Davis, Hayley Lipford, Michael Lipford, Levi Lipford, Clayton Lipford, Alexis Baird, Lucas Gentry, and Leon Gentry. He loved his puppies, Charlie, Darla, and Raleigh like children, as well. 

Michael is also survived by his siblings, Lynn Lipford, Warren Lipford, Connie Cardwell, Cathy Adams, Rockie Lipford, Allen Lipford, Mark Lipford, sister-in-law, Cindy Pardue, and father and mother-in-law, Dean and Peggy Roark. 

He also has many surviving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, including special niece, Tracy Thomas. He leaves behind his special friends, Richard "Doc" and Natalie Cochrane, and Andy Loar and Ashley.

Michael was the strongest man many of us knew. He was also the hardest worker, spending his entire life building homes, including his own, creating crafts, and everything in between, with his hands. He was also one of the most caring people you could meet and would give you his last dollar if he felt you needed it. He left his mark on many lives. His artistry and compassion will be greatly missed in this world. 

He loved spending time with his family, whether that meant searching for snakes with his first grandchild, Alexis, playing the guitar and video games with Lucas and Leon, building a tiny home for Hayley, playing cars with Levi, laughing with Clayton and Alexis, and talking with Michael. 

He was always there for any of us any time we needed him. He would drop what he was doing if any of his children or grandchildren needed something. We are left with so many wonderful memories of his love for us.

Visitation will be at 10:00 am on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at Hux-Lipford Funeral Home, with a short service to follow. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park.
