Millard Cooper, age 71, of 113 Veterans Road, Salley, South Carolina, passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2007 at the Aiken Rehabilitation Center of South Carolina. Millard was born on November 7, 1935, the son of the late Milton and Polly Bolin Cooper. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, June Cooper and several brothers and sisters. Millard enjoyed fishing, hunting and farming. He was of the Baptist Faith. Millard is survived by his wife, Mae Cooper, of the home; one step-daughter, Kathleen Blevins of Mountain City, Tennessee; five sons: Gary, Richard, Michael "Mike", Terry, all of Mountain City, Tennessee and Robert "Bobby" of Marion, North Carolina. Several sisters, brothers, grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services for Millard Cooper will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Friday, February 23, 2007 from the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel of the Hux-Lipford Funeral Home with Rev. David Bentley to officiate. Music will be under the direction of Mr. Joe Simcox. The family will receive friends from 6-7:00 p.m. on Friday, prior to the service, at the funeral home. Graveside Services and Interment will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 24, 2007 from the Price Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: David Cooper, Howard Cooper, Matthew Cooper, Zack Cooper, Camron Cooper, Chris Blevins, Eric Roark and Dallas Arnold. At other times, friends may call at the Family Residence on Millard Cooper Lane. Condolences may be sent to the family through our website at www.hux-lipford.com. Arrangements for the Cooper Family are in the care of Hux-Lipford Funeral Home of Mountain City, Tennessee.
