Mrs Virginia B. Snyder

Mrs. Virginia B. Snyder, age 87, of 447 Paul Snyder Road, Butler, Tennessee, passed away Sunday, May 16, 2004 at her daughter's home following an extended illness. Mrs. Snyder was born April 25, 1917 in Johnson County, Tennessee to the late Ottie M. and Ina L. Stout-Bunting. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; Paul H. Snyder who passed away May 20, 1997, one brother Barton Bunting and one sister Kathleen Bunton. Mr. Snyder was a member of Meadowview Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and loved quilting. Mrs. Snyder is survived by her daughter, Mary A. Jacobs and husband Ken of Butler, TN two sons, Allen L. Snyder and wife Lennis of Mountain City, TN and John H. Snyder and wife Barbara of Boone, NC, three sisters; Marjorie Ginolfi of Kingsport, TN, Opal Susi of Mountain City, TN and Shirley Bunting of Mountain City, TN, six brothers; Fred Bunting of Tacoma, WA, Marshall Bunting of New York City, NY, Mack Bunting of Walls, MISS, Doran Bunting of Mountain City, TN, Jim Bunting of Kingsport, TN and Harold Bunting of Mountain City, TN, six grandchildren; Judy Snyder of Mooresville, NC, Kent Snyder of Dalton, GA, Tracy Arrington of Glade Springs, VA, Brain, Bradley and Travis Mink all of Butler, TN, seven great grandchildren; Shelly Gatton, Hannah, Annie Kate and Molly Snyder, Kiley and Pride Arrington, two step great grandchildren; Michaela and Ashlyn Church and one sister-in-law, Susan Bunting. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services for Mrs. Snyder will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Monday, May 17, 2004 from the Hux-Lipford Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Richard Jones and Rev. James Richardson to officiate. Committal Services and Entombment will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 18, 2004 from the Sunset Memorial Park, Mountain City, Tennessee. Active Pallbearers will be: Grandsons and Nephews. Honorary Pallbearers are: Dr. Keith Cook, Adventa Hospice Associates and Phillip Bunting. The family will receive friends 6-8:00 p.m. Monday prior to Services at the Funeral Home Chapel. At other times, friends may call at the residence 447 Paul Snyder Road, Butler, Tennessee.
