Mrs Clara Hurley

Clara Hurley, age 93, of 2442 Cold Springs Road, Mountain City, Tennessee, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 16, 2004 at the Johnson City Medical Center following an extended illness. She was born in Charlotte, North Carolina on July 5, 1911 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Alexander Wilheam. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hurley was preceded in death by her husband Blaine Monroe Hurley, who passed away in 1958 and sister, Maybelle McGinnis. Mrs. Hurley was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church where she was also founder of the Calvary Baptist Church Ladies Auxiliary Circle. She loved gardening, crocheting and cooking. Mrs. Hurley is survived by one daughter, Delores Bunton of the home; great grandson, Matthew Bunton also of the home; one son, Adrian E. "Jack" Hurley of Henderson, Nevada; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Several Nieces and Nephews also survive. Funeral Services for Mrs. Hurley will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 20, 2004 at the Hux-Lipford Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Gary Norris and Pastor Jim Swoager to officiate. The family will receive friends from 10-11:00 a.m. Monday, prior to Services at the Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in the Phillippi Cemetery. At other times, friends may call at the residence. The family would like to extend special thanks to the Staff of the Johnson City Medical Center, Staff of the Johnson County Health Center and Dr. Jim Shine and Staff.
