Mrs Irene Love Lovill

Mrs. Irene Love Lovill, age 85, of 512 Brown Place, Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2006 as a result of a stroke of October, 2005. She was born on August 17, 1920 in Mountain City,Tennessee,the daughter of the late Geter and Mary Holcomb Love. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lovill was preceded in death by her husband Edward Lovill; two sisters: Opal Morrison of Mountain City, Tennessee and Virginia Fritts of Paris, Kentucky. She was a graduate of Appalachian State University of Boone, North Carolina. Mrs. Lovill was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Mountain City. She was a High School substitute teacher for mandy years and was known as the weather lady, reporting to the Johnson City Press and Tomahawk for 45 years. Mrs. Lovill is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jim Lovill and Hope; grandson, Sky MaKena, Fairfax, California; one sister, Louise Luttrell, Knoxville, Tennessee; one brother, Geter F. Love, South Pittsburg, Tennessee; her loving niece, Barbara Stewart, who has been Mrs. Lovill's caregiver since October; several nieces and nephews and many good friends. A viewing for Mrs. Irene Love Lovill will be held Saturday, January 14, 2006 from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. from the Hux-Lipford Funeral Home of Mountain City, Tennessee. Following the viewing, there will be a procession to Mountain View Cemetery, where memories of Irene's life will be shared followed by Committal Services. Pallbearers will be: Bob Morrison, Jake Fritts, Jerry Proffitt, Paul Gobble, J.B. Broseker, Geter F. Love Jr. and Colt Love.
