Mrs. Donnie M. Blevins, age 89, of Shady Valley, Tennessee passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2004 following a lengthy illness. A native of Shady Valley, Mrs. Blevins was born December 10, 1914 to the late George H. and Clara Blevins Miller. She was a 1933 Graduate of the Johnson County High School, a homemaker, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, active in the Shady Valley Presbyterian Church where she was a former Sunday School Teacher and a devoted Mother and Grandmother. Mrs. Blevins was preceded in death by her husband Argus N. Blevins, one son; Ralph E. Blevins, three brothers and two half sisters. Survivors include two daughters; Louise B. Dunlap of Oak Ridge, Tennessee and Kathleen B. Britts of Fairfax, Virginia, four grandchildren; Leigh Dunlap of Alexandria Virginia, Lynn Dunlap of Asheville, North Carolina, Jennifer Connors of Burke, Virginia and Eric Britts of Fairfax, Virginia, two great-grandchildren; Hannah and Matthew DeMello, one sister; Izetta Triplett of Bluff City, Tennessee, two brothers; Aster Miller of Huntsville, Alabama and Avery Miller of Piney Flats Tennessee and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Mrs. Donnie M. Blevins will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 17, 2004 from the Shady Valley Presbyterian Church with Dr. Tom Peake to officiate. Interment will follow in the Shady Valley Memorial Gardens. Active Pallbearers are: Eric Britts, Floyd Forrester, Roger Miller, Francis Plumber, Harold Plumber and Howard Miller.
