"Myrtle Roberta Corum (Cable) ,76, of Butler, Tennessee passed away surrounded by family on July 2nd, 2024. She was born on April 20th, 1948 in Big Dry Run, TN.
She was a hard worker and spent most of her days working for herself. She enjoyed reading the Bible and loved Jehovah God very much. Her favorite scripture was John 3:17, "For God did not send his Son into the world for him to judge the world, but for the world to be saved through Him." She loved to garden and became a collector of many things. She also loved to cook and spend time with her family.
Myrtle is preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Ruth Cable; her husband Johnny Corum; and her siblings, Gloria Xenia Tester, Fern Arnold, Jewel Arnold, Billy Cable, and Bobby Cable.
Myrtle is survived by her sister Brenda and her husband David Dilldine; her daughter, Shelia and her husband Brian Kennedy; her son, Jonathan Gensler and Paula Schofield; by her grandchildren, Brandon and his wife Kristina Ashley, Jacob and his wife Ashley Gensler, and Callie and her husband Ivan Ibabao; great grandchildren, Ashton Dollar, Carly Proffitt, Hadon Ashley, Athena Gensler, and Charlotte Ibabao; and by her very special friend and caregiver Holly R. Johnson as well as lots of special nieces and nephews.
The family is not having a funeral or burial service at this time but appreciates your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. "To live in hearts we leave behind, is not to die."
