Myrtle O. Osborne

Myrtle Irene Osborne, age 74 passed away May 26, 2016 at the Frye Regional Medical Center, Hickory, North Carolina.  She was born November 18, 1941 to the late Ermin Osborne and Ethel Stewart Osborne. She was also preceded in death by one son, Davey Osborne, sister Lois Osborne and brother Jimmy Osborne.  She loved canning and spending time with family. 

Survivors include her husband Tom Osborne of 53 years.  Two daughters: Pam Bunting and husband Phillip and Patti Hensley of Creston, NC; two sisters:  Hilda Osborne and husband Bill, Creston, NC and Mary Rose Roark of Mountain City, TN; two brothers:  Robert Osborne and wife Lillian, The Dalles, Oregon and Frank Osborne and wife Hearlie, Oxford, PA; two grandchildren:  Jeremy Bunting and Stephanie Hensley, Creston, NC.  Several nieces and nephews also survive and a special friend Darlene Cornett. Son-In-Law Tim Hensley.

Funeral services will be conducted  2:00 pm, Sunday, May 29, 2016 from the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel of the Hux-Lipford Funeral Home, Mountain City, TN with the Rev. Tommy Stephens officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 pm, Saturday, May 28, 2016 from the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel of the Hux-Lipford Funeral Home.  Graveside services and burial will follow funeral services, Sunday, May 29, 2016 at the  Mountain View Methodist Church Cemetery, Creston, NC.  

Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.  Honorary pallbearers are Angie Ritter, Susie Fox and Sherry Romanger.
