Nellie F. Fritts, age 88, of 919 Medical Park Drive, Mountain City, passed away Monday, February 17, 2003 at the Watauga Medical center, in Boone, North Carolina. Mrs. Fritts was a native of Johnson County and was born on June 9, 1914 to the late James M. and Addie Slemp Wagner. She was a farmer, enjoyed sewing and crocheting, and was a member of Vaughts Gap Baptist Church. Mrs. Fritts was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar C. Fritts, two sons, Charles E. Fritts and Robert G. Fritts; grandparents, Noah and Polly Wagner and Martin and Mary Ann Slemp; and two sisters, Hattie Wilson and Maude Dalmedo. Survivors: (1) Son: William B. Funeral services for Nellie F. Fritts will be conducted at 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 19, 2003 at the Hux-Lipford Funeral Home with Rev. Frank Johnson and Rev. Rick Thomason to officiate. Burial will be in the Dyson Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Russell Lewis, Danny Rhymer, Dean Stout, D.L. Brown, Johnny Arnold, and Jerry Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Mink, Buddy Carden, Danny Eller, Willis Walker, Joe Cress, J.R.
