Noah F. "Ted" Brown, age 75, of 213 Dogwood Avenue, Mountain City, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2013 at his residence with his daughter by his side. Ted was a member of Cove Creek High School Class of 1957. He was a son of the late Harve Wilson Brown and Emma Winebarger Brown. Ted was of the Baptist faith. He loved fishing, NASCAR, was an avid Dale Ernhardt fan and loved listening to Blue Grass Gospel Music. Also, he was a member of Taylorsville 243 F & AM. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters: Maude Reece, Lizzie Brown and Faye Miller; two brothers: Frank Brown and Wade Brown and several nieces and nephews Survivors include: one daughter: Bonnie Ruth Brown Nelson of Mountain City, TN; one grandson: Noah James Nelson; one brother: Jack Brown of Zionville, NC; his dog Charley who was his faithful companion of 14 years; special friend: Joan Pope of Mountain City, TN; mother of his child, Margaret Spivey and Ted; close cousin: Mack Brown; special friend: Jim Norris and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Mr. Brown will be conducted at 5:00 p.m. Sunday, November 17, 2013 in the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel of Hux- Lipford Funeral Home with Pastor Dwayne Dickson and Scott Plyler officiating with Masonic Service to follow. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service. Graveside Service and Interment will be at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, November 18, 2013 from the Zionsville Baptist Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be David Campbell, Michael Nichols, Doug McFadden, Jack Cress, Ted Spivey, Butler Reece, Lynn Reece and Noah Nelson. Honorary pallbearers will be Mack Brown, Bobby Reece, Jim Norris, Dr. Chakraborty and members of Taylorsville Masonic Lodge 243 F & AM.
