Norma South

Norma South, age 76, of 622 Clarence Potter Road, passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2003 at the Mountain City Care Center after an extended illness. Mrs. South was a native of Johnson County and was born on January 26, 1927 to the late B.C. and Mae Jones Lipford. She was a homemaker, a charter member and former Sunday school teacher of Walnut Grove Baptist Church. Mrs. South was preceded in death by three brothers, Gary Lipford, Perry Lipford in 2002, and Raymond Lipford in 1985. Survivors: Husband, Charlie South, of the home. Funeral services for Norma South will be conducted at 8:00 P.M. Thursday, March 6, 2003 at the Hux-Lipford Funeral Home with Rev. Frank Woods and Rev. David Bentley to officiate. Burial will be at 1:00 P.M. Friday, March 7, 2003 in the Lipford Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jerry Horne, Jeff Reece, Ronnie Martin, Keith Johnson, Charles Dyson, Gary Johnson, Russ Poteet, and Jim Fink. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:00 P.M.
