Norman Woodard

Norman Woodard, age 78, of Mountain City, TN passed away Monday, July 1, 2013 in Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem, NC following an extended illness. He was the son of the late Fred and Mae Howard Woodard. He was a member of Missionary Baptist Church in Pennsylvania. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers: Boyd Woodard, R.D. Woodard, Bob Woodard, Roscoe Woodard and Daniel Fred Woodard; and one sister: Stella Osborne. Survivors include: one daughter: Shirley Campbell and husband Lynn of Mountain City, TN; two sisters: Sue Lipford of Gaithersburg, MD and Alice Jones and husband Mike of Rockville, MD; three brothers: J.C. Woodard and wife Loretta of Mountain City, TN; Dewey Woodard and wife Wilma of Johnson City, TN; and Frank Woodard and wife Linda of Kensington, MD; two grandchildren: Scotty Campbell of Nashville, TN and Lindsey Campbell of Mountain City, TN and several nieces and nephews. A visitation was held Tuesday, July 2, 2013 from 6:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at Hux-Lipford Funeral Home. Graveside service and interment was held in Pennsylvania Monday, July 8, 2013.
