Obituary for: Patsy Jean “ Pat ” Isaacs.

 

Patsy Jean “ Pat ” Isaacs, age 74, of 13246 Highway 67 West, Butler, Tennessee passed away Saturday, July 12, 2008 at the Mountain City Care Center in Mountain City, Tennessee following an extended illness. She was a native of Johnson County, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by one brother, John Crosswhite.

 

Ms. Isaacs was a member of the Little Doe Baptist Church, where she was a former Secretary as well as former church treasurer. She was a member of the Farm Bureau Women where she was the former director. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post Number 61 and she was also a member of the Gideon Ladies Auxiliary. Ms. Isaacs was retired from the USDA/ASCS Office in Mountain City having worked there for 37 ½ years.

 

She is survived by her husband, Carter Isaacs of the home, her mother, Dicy Crosswhite of Johnson City, Tennessee; one stepdaughter: Pat Rhudy and husband, Tony, of Mountain City, Tennessee; one stepson Steve Isaacs and wife, Geri, of Versaiiles, Kentucky; one sister Jane Stout of Johnson City, Tennessee; one brother: Joe Crosswhite and wife, Betty, of Greenville, Tennessee. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Special nieces, Jeannie Bower and Georgia Morefield; special friends: Jean Wilson and Bonnie Icenhour.

 

Funeral services for Patsy Jean “Pat” Isaacs will be conducted on Tuesday, July

15, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. from the Little Doe Baptist Church with Rev. Kreg Smith, Rev. Ray Sorrells and Rev. Jack Roddy officiating. Graveside service and interment will follow in the Shoun-McEwen Cemetery.

 

Active pallbearers are Elwood Arnold, Park Arnold, Paul Lowe, Ray Stout, Mack Matherly, Herb Hampton, Barry Pleasant and Mike Long. Honorary Pallbearers are Tilley Stout, Bill Wilson Farrell Isaacs and the Gideon International Johnson County Camp. Flowers are accepted or donations may also be made to the Gideon’s International or the Carris Hospice. A special thank you to Dr. Hiboch, Dr. Whitlock, Dr. Griffith, the staff of the Watauga Medical Center and the staff of the Mountain City Care Center.

 

The family will receive friends on Monday, July 14 from 6:30 -8:00 p.m. at the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel of the Hux-Lipford Funeral Home.

At other times friends may call at the resident, 13246 Highway 67 West, Butler, Tennessee.
